This is where MYFC began.
About ten years ago, a close friend took a candid black-and-white photo of me. When I saw it, I didn't recognize myself.
I looked tired. Flat. Disconnected. It felt like I had aged ten years overnight.
At the time, I was 38. A new mom. At the peak of my career. I was showing up for everything — except myself.
And for the first time, I asked: what am I doing to care for my face?
As an athlete, coach, and massage therapist, I understood the body — especially how it moves, adapts, and responds. I knew, instinctively, that freezing my face wasn't the path I wanted to take.
Your face tells your story.
And I didn't want my story to feel frozen. I wanted it to feel alive. Not perfect. Not wrinkle-free. Just… alive.
I decided at that moment to find another way.
For years, I immersed myself in hands-on work:
- Monthly holistic facials
- Acupuncture treatments
- Advanced training in sculptural facial therapy
After working with hundreds of faces, I began to see patterns — not just in how faces look, but in how they move, hold tension, and respond to touch.
But something still didn't sit right.
These treatments worked, but they weren't accessible. They weren't sustainable. They weren't something people could do for themselves.
So I asked a different question: how do I bring this into a daily practice? Something simple. Something effective. Something people could do on their own — in just minutes.
That's where the MYFC Method began. A movement-based approach to caring for your face — built on touch, intention, and consistency.
Not a treatment. Not a quick fix. A practice.
That photo is still my why. Because I know what it feels like to look in the mirror and feel disconnected from your face.
And I also know what it feels like to come back to it. To see life again. To feel present. To recognize yourself. To love what you see again.
This is for everyone.
With love,
Zionna
